It all started for me a few years ago. I was already doing some trading to Italy until Gianni Govoni approached me. He was looking for an international horse for himself. I then sold Tuscany (by Andiamo, red) to him through mediation. I never expected that sale would have such an impact.
Tuscany grew into a successful 1.60 m horse. And with that the bond of trust between Gianni and me also grew. It didn't just stop at Tuscany, more of my horses left in his direction. Coriander van het Vennehof was also purchased, which now runs 1.60. He now rides Amparo, Dynamite, Begas (Lupicor x Landfrieden) and Deltamossel's Jantje (Pilgrim II x Heartbreaker), some of which are jointly owned.
Jantje recently ran his first 1.60 m class with Gianni in San Giovanni. He immediately finished fourth! Previously, Dynamite and Amaparo had already reached the highest level. These horses would never have made it this far under me. But Gianni is a world rider where the horses get every opportunity at the highest level. In addition, he is happy with the opportunities I offer him. My good young horses leave when they have the necessary experience. And he can then start working on it immediately.
His broodmares are now here. The most famous of these are Havinia and Las Vegas. With Havinia, Gianni won several major prizes and finished fifth at the world championships in Jerez de la Frontera. Las Vegas finished the Atlanta Olympic Games in seventh place.
Havinia and Las Vegas are currently pregnant with Andiamo. And if we succeed, we hope to cover them with Dynamite later. I still fully own the latter. He has all the scope and a top character. I bought it on the same day with Amparo. I have always believed in both horses. It has been my goal that it now comes out at the highest level. And I hope to be proud of that for a long time to come.
